This specimen is a classic Cavnic specimen featuring a beautiful and rare combination of white quartz and amethyst crystals together on one specimen.
The matrix consists mainly of pyrite and sphalerite.
Measures: 130x100x50mm. Weighs: approximately 930 grams.

The mines in the area are closed for good, but had been operating since the early 1300's.
Cavnic formerly it was known as Kapnik, Hungary as part of the Austro-Hungarian empire.
