Native gold from Jílové gold mining district,  Central Bohemian Region,  Czech Republic. The deposit is situated in Jílové app. 25 km south of Prague.
The specimen measures approximately 40x30x13 mm (max) and weighs a 22 gramme.

The most important historical gold mining district in Bohemia with a tradition of gold mining for over 2,000 years until as recently as 1968 and therefore known to most Czechs because it was a gold-mining town for ages.
Good rich piece with several (micro-)”lumps” of native gold scattered mostly on one side of the quartz  matrix


Adding to the interest of the piece are amounts, tin-white mineral, probably a bismuth tellurium or a mercury tellurium (not tested) that is found at the location. An rarity in combination with gold.
