Very beautifull specimen with marcasite, pyrite, and chalcopyrite from Unser Fritz Mine, Herne, Germany.
High-glossy marcasite, pyrite and chalcopyrite crystals are sitting on top of a thin crystallized calcite layer at both sides of the specimen.
Dimensions: 160x90x30 mm. Weight 0,6 kilogramme.
The "Unser Fritz" was a coal mine (complex) in Wanne-eickel (Herne), Germany.
In the year 1873, the first coals were mined and about 120 years later the complex was abandoned and the remaining "Unser Fritz" shafts filled.
