Lustrous molybdenite on quartz matrix. Aesthetic specimen. Dimensions: 100x65x25 mm. Weight 0,225 kilogramme.
Very nice bright metallic molybdenite om quartz from Zinnwald / Cinovic deposit.
The mining in the Erzgebirge dates back to the twelfth century and ended in 1991.
The Zinnwald / Cinovic deposit main ore minerals are cassiterite, wolframite and molybdenite.
One part of the deposit is situated in Saxony, Germany (Zinnwald), the other in Bohemia, Czech Republic (Cinovec).
