Nice piece with shimmering gold-pinkish colored nickeline in a quartz matrix (at the top of the piece you can find a few micro-crystals smokey quartz ) from the classic locality Schneeberg.

Originally named kupfernickel (German for copper-nickel) in 1694 by Urban Hjärne from the German nickname for Satan or “Nick” (in the sense of a mischievous deceiver), because the ore seemed to contain copper but yielded none.
