From the ‘Tropper Stolln’ – a pit excavation driven horizontally or slightly uphill into a mountain, nearby Wolkenstein, Marienberg, Erzgebirgskreis, Sachsen, Germany
The ‘Stolln’ is located approx. 1.5km south of Wolkenstein.
The "Tropperstolln" (on record since 1557) was the starting point for deep exploration by the Wismut Company of the existing corridors until the 19th century.
Extensive investigations began here in April 1947, and traces of uranium mineralization were found in the Tropper Morgengang and some other corridors,

This specimen measures approximately 60x40x30 mm and weighs approximately  0,085 kilogramme.


One of the four "ruby silvers"; pyrargyrite, Polybasite and miargyrite are the other three.
