This specimen of Cuprite comes from the Ural Mountains of Russia.
Several small but perfect cuprite crystals laying in a cavity on bed of malachite, and azurite on a solid (and heavy) matrix of cuprite and copper.
I bought this speciment many years ago from a Astro Gallery of Gems auction (a well know rock and mineral store in New York City).
Measures: 70x60x40 mm. Weighs: approximately 260 grams.
