Extreme rare old collectors piece with Stibnite, stibiconite and valentinite crystals - classic specimen comes with several antic labels, ex. Philadelphia Acedemy from the Herja Mine, Baia Mare (Nagybánya), Maramures, Romania.
The specimen measures approximately 70x70x50 mm and weighs 0,120 kilogramme.

The Baia Mare region is a ancient well known mining area, in the northern region of Romania.
Mines in that region have been producing some of the world's finest well-crystallized specimens for over a century.
The Herja-mine is located close to the small village of Chiuzbaia (formerly Kisbánya).
The pale yellow to yellowish stibiconite is an antimony oxide mineral.
Valentinite is also an antimony oxide mineral. Valentinite crystallizes in the orthorhombic system. Mostly it is colorless to white with occasional tints of yellow like these cystals.
The valentinite cystals are small (but beautiful); a loupe or microscope is needed to see them. Pictures where taken with a canon macro-lens.

With old labels probably end, 1800 beginning 1900.
