Small beauty; the adamite crystals are mostly dipyramidal, sharp and mostly small crystal clusters and some isolated ones sitting on a black goethite layer and limonite matrix. Nice quality of colour and lustre.
Strong fluorescence under long-wave UV light.
The Ojuela mine, is probably Mexico's greatest mineral locality and surely its most beloved. The deposit is already actively mined for 350 years.
The more than a hundred species now known from the deposit include the world's finest (fluorescent) adamite (in a gorgeous array of colors and habits), rosasite, fluorite, calcite, wulfenite and other species.
