Beryl crystals may be very small or range to several meters in size. Pure beryl is colorless, but it is frequently tinted by impurities; possible colors are green, blue, yellow, red, and white.
Pink beryl is called morganite. Alongside emarald and aquamaine, morganite is certainly the best known gemstone from the colourful group of the beryls.
