Beautiful coularful combination. Large quartz crystal transpierced with uncountable fine green tourmaline crystals.
A large pink beryl crystal is locked up (var. morganite) in the quartz.
Origin Afganistan, Kunar-Tal. Dimensions: 170x100x80 mm. Weight: 1.730 kilogramme.
Beryl crystals may be very small or range to several meters in size. Pure beryl is colorless, but it is frequently tinted by impurities; possible colors are green, blue, yellow, red, and white.
Pink beryl is called morganite. Alongside emarald and aquamaine, morganite is certainly the best known gemstone from the colourful group of the beryls.
