Small cabinet specimen with excellent sharp helvine crystals on the matrix and in small cavities. The deep yellow crystals of this rare beryllium mineral are in excellent condition.
A nice rare specimen from a old classic location "Unverhofft Glück an der Achte" Mine, Antonsthal, Erzgebirge, Saxony, Germany.
Measures approximately 60x40x30 mm and weighs 0,066 kilogramme.
The closed mine was located in a small mining area, close to the border of Germany and the Czech Republic, where from 1597 to 1952, iron, zinc, copper, silver, lead, and uranium (SAG Wismut) was mined.
Some magnification is needed for enjoying the beauty razor sharp crystals. The detailed pictures were made with a canon-macro lens.
