Tsumeb, since its founding, has been primarily a mining town. A few years ago the copper ore at depth ran out. The Tsumeb mine is also renowned for a wealth of rare and unusual minerals amongst mineral collectors. This showy Tsumeb specimen has a thin layer of green duftite coating colorless calcite rhombs.
